The cement company Mozambique Dugongo Cimentos, S.A. entered the Mozambican cement production market with the factory located in the district of Matutuine, 70 km from Maputo City, with a production capacity of two million tons of cement per year.
Dugongo Cement is manufacturing two different kinds of cement.
1: Cem II 42.5 n A (L) .
This cement is a PLC cement (Portland Limestone Cement) equivalent to pure OPC cement (Ordinary Portland cement) which has a 10 percent limestone powder added to it to reduce the co2 emissions into the atmosphere and has a 28 day Mpa strength of between 48 to 52 mpa.
2: Cem II 32.5 n B (L).
This cement is a PLC cement (Portland Limestone Cement) equivalent to pure OPC cement (Ordinary Portland cement) which has a 30 percent limestone powder added to it to reduce the co2 emissions into the atmosphere and has a 28 day Mpa strength of between 38 to 40 mpa.
The cement can be used in all construction industries from foundations to building to plastering. The cement is also been used for construction of dams and bridges and has a low sulfur content that prevents the rusting of the Re-enforcing.
The cement is a good road stabilization cement.
